Range Requirements Archery
Range/Cross Bows
-The shooting range will be around 3m wide per target.
-Unless a suitable back-stop netting is used, there must be a no-go zone of no less than
100m from the shooting line in the direction of shooting.
-The no-go area must not contain any public rights of way and all access points must be
well signed.
-Noone shall be allowed to enter an area of 18m to each side of the range.
-Archery tuition will be carried out in accordance of GNAS guidelines.
-Backstop netting provided as required.
Clay Pigeon Shooting
-Shooting will be conducted away from livestock or animals.
-There must be a no-go area of at least 250m from the shooting line.
-The no-go area must not contain any public rights of way and all access points must be
well signed.
-The lead instructor must apply for exemption under section 11 (6) of the Firearms act
1968.
Air Rifle
-The shooting range will be around 5m wide.
-Access behind the shooting range must be prohibited.
